eco*art*lab, a pop-up gallery and artspace in downtown Athens, Georgia invites artistic works on the various aspects, dimensions and understandings of global climate change, to be exhibited March 23- April 27, 2013.
Accepting submissions in all genres and media, including installation, live art and performance. There are opportunities for site-specific installations in numerous rooms (see images below).*
Email ecoartlaboratory@gmail.com your digital images, video clips, sound files or specific page URLs to us along with a brief statement about how your work relates to the theme. Inquiries welcome.
Display: The decision of where and how to exhibit the artwork is at the curator’s discretion. If there are special instructions for hanging or maintaining the work, please include these with your submission.
Publicity: The exhibition will be publicized in various media outlets, and postcards will be sent out to multiple listservs prior to the event. Posters will be hung on the University of Georgia campus and in Athens, Atlanta, and other locations in Georgia. The exhibition will also be publicized by our co-sponsors, including Ideas for Creative Exploration at UGA.
Delivery and Shipping: All shipping and shipping insurance costs to and from the gallery are the responsibility of the artist. Delivery and shipping instructions will be sent to accepted artists at the time of notification of acceptance.
Sales: Sales inquiries will be directed to the artists or their representatives. eco*art*lab will not serve as a dealer or take commissions on sales.
